Get a head start on maintaining healthy hair this summer by drinking lots of water, to keep your hair (and skin) hydrated. You can also purchase deep conditioning products to hydrate your hair from the inside and out. Your hair is most damaged by heat and drying agents, so keeping your hair moisturised is key to healthy hair.
Apply coconut oil or leave-in conditioner to your hair before diving into the pool or ocean to protect your hair from salt or chlorine damage. We also recommend wearing a hat anytime you're in the sun to protect your scalp from UV rays.
Air It Out
Try to skip the hot hair tools during summer and let your hair air dry and wear it natural. Not only will it be healthier for your hair but you can also keep yourself cooler.
Rinse your hair with tap water once you have gotten out of the pool or ocean and pop some more leave-in conditioner to maintain your hair in between washes.
